From April 19–22, 2023, Sofia proudly welcomed the International Conference and General Assembly of the City Destinations Alliance – the leading European network for the marketing and management of city destinations.
The prestigious event was held at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia and brought together over 200 delegates from more than 100 cities across Europe. Organized with the local support of Visit Sofia, the Bulgarian Convention Bureau, and Insight Events as the official Destination Management Company (DMC), the program featured dynamic conference sessions and vibrant networking opportunities.
Highlights included a magical welcome reception under the stars at the historic Sofia Largo, enhanced by a live performance from the Sofia Wind Orchestra, exquisite Bulgarian wines, and gourmet local catering. The event concluded with a memorable gala dinner at the iconic Sofia Military Club, where guests were treated to a fine dining experience and captivating entertainment.
Sofia once again proved to be a world-class host city, combining tradition, hospitality, and a vibrant urban spirit.
